I am an associate professor of political science in the Department of Media and Social Sciences at the University of Stavanger, Norway. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science with an emphasis on comparative politics and public policy from University of Missouri. 

My research is concerned with themes relating to legislative studies, gender and politics, and political representation. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in American Political Science Review, British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, Journal of European Public Policy, International Political Science Review, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Party Politics, Policy Studies Journal, Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, Social Politics, and elsewhere. My first book, Political Stability, Democracy and Agenda Dynamics in Turkey, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2020.
